Department: SEIT ProgramReports to: Director of EducationPosition SummaryThe Student Support Individualized Education Program (IEP) Specialist provides support, mentorship, and guidance to Year 1 and Year 2 SEIT providers and all SEIT interns.

This role focuses on IEP development, student case management, staff support, documentation, and ensuring delivery of high-quality special education services.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMentor and support SEIT providers and interns.Assist with IEP development, implementation, reviews, and compliance.Support virtual IEP meetings, parent communication, and multidisciplinary collaboration.Review reports and documentation for quality and accuracy.Provide student case management and support with complex cases.Provide behavioral guidance and evidence-based recommendations.Coach staff on documentation, report writing, and best practices.Collaborate with families, schools, supervisors, and related service providers.Support staff development and program quality initiatives.Qualifications and RequirementsMaster's degree in Special Education with Birth - Grade 2 teaching certification required.LBA license or BCBA certification required.SBL or SDL license preferred.At least 7-10 years of special education and/or IEP experience.Experience mentoring, supervising, or coaching special education staff.Strong communication, organization, report writing, and case management skills.Comfortable working in the field and traveling throughout all five boroughs of NYC for observations and staff/student support.Ability to conduct IEP meetings virtually.Comfortable traveling between school, home, and community-based settings.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.Work ModelIn-person, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
