Apply & track with Apply EdgeSubcontract Administration ManagerGeneral DescriptionResponsible for the contractual and commercial administration of subcontract agreements from award through completion and close-out. The role focuses on managing subcontractor variations, claims, contractual correspondence, progress, invoicing, and overall contractual compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and administer multiple subcontract agreements throughout their lifecycle.Review and interpret subcontract agreements to ensure compliance and identify potential contractual and commercial risks.Manage Variation Orders, claims, extensions of time (EOT), delays, and other subcontractor entitlements, including assessment, negotiation, and resolution.Identify potential claims and contractual risks at an early stage and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.Draft, review, and respond to formal contractual letters, notices, claims, and subcontractor correspondence.Monitor subcontractor progress, payment milestones, invoices, retention, advance payments, and outstanding contractual deliverables.Maintain accurate and up-to-date registers for subcontracts, variations, claims, correspondence, invoices, and key contractual dates.Coordinate with Project, Planning, Commercial, Finance, and Technical teams to ensure proper administration of subcontract agreements.Support negotiations with subcontractors and assist in resolving contractual and commercial disputes.Manage subcontract close-out activities, including final accounts, outstanding claims, variations, warranties, and contractual documentation.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Law, or a related field.Minimum 8 years of experience in subcontract administration, contracts management, or a related function within the construction or infrastructure sector.Strong ability to read, interpret, and apply contract terms while identifying contractual and commercial risks.Excellent contractual drafting, writing, and correspondence skills.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple subcontract agreements and deadlines simultaneously.Effective negotiation, communication, and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.Experience with Aconex or similar contract/document management systems is an advantage.
