JOB VACANCY: SUBJECT EDITORLocation: Ibadan, Oyo StateEmployment Type: Full-TimeDepartment: Publishing/EditorialReports To: Senior Editor / Head of Editorial / Publishing ManagerSalary: ₦120,000 – ₦170,000 monthly, depending on qualifications and experience.Job SummaryWe are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Subject Editor to review, edit and improve educational manuscripts for accuracy, clarity, age-appropriateness, curriculum alignment and publication.Subject areas include:MathematicsEnglish LanguageScienceArts/HumanitiesKey Responsibilities:Edit manuscripts for accuracy, clarity, grammar, structure and readability.Verify facts, concepts, calculations, terminology and explanations.Ensure content aligns with the intended class level, Nigerian curricula and examination requirements.Review examples, exercises, illustrations and assessment questions.Proofread manuscripts and final proofs.Identify gaps, repetitions and inconsistencies.Work with authors, illustrators, designers, proofreaders and production staff.Provide feedback, follow up on revisions and meet editorial deadlines.Conduct research and maintain confidentiality of unpublished materials.Requirements:B.Sc., B.Ed., B.A. or HND in the relevant subject or related field.Minimum of 2–3 years' relevant experience in editing, teaching, educational content development, publishing or curriculum development.Strong subject knowledge and excellent written and spoken English.Excellent proofreading, copy-editing, research and fact-checking skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Office and Track Changes.Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.Publishing experience, a Master's degree or professional certification is an added advantage.How to ApplySend your CV and portfolio to:fidasconsults@gmail.comUse “Subject Editor – [Your Subject]” as the email subject.Application Deadline: 15 September 2026Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
