The school encourages learners to be a transforming influence in their community, seeking wisdom and strength from God in all aspects of its mission.Role Description The Substitute Teacher’s Aide is a full-time, on-site role located in Bellevue, WA, supporting classroom teachers and students in a Christian school environment. In this role, the aide assists with daily classroom activities, helps implement lesson plans, and supports small-group and individual instruction as directed by the teacher. Responsibilities include preparing instructional materials, supervising students in classrooms and common areas, and reinforcing positive behavior and engagement. The aide collaborates with teachers and staff to maintain a safe, respectful, and nurturing learning environment aligned with the school’s faith-based mission, and communicates effectively with students and colleagues throughout the school day.Qualifications Demonstrated skills in Teaching and Education, with the ability to support classroom instruction and student learning.Experience or aptitude in Lesson Planning and Training, assisting teachers with implementing instructional activities and routines.Strong Communication skills, including clear, respectful interaction with students, staff, and families.Commitment to supporting a Christian faith-based educational environment and modeling values consistent with the school’s mission.Ability to manage classroom dynamics, supervise groups of students, and maintain a safe and orderly environment.Prior experience as a teacher’s aide, substitute, or in a childcare/education setting is preferred.High school diploma or equivalent required; postsecondary coursework in education or related fields is beneficial.
