Professionals joining WC Build can expect to work on diverse projects that contribute to the region’s built environment.Role Description The Superintendent is a full-time, on-site role based in Orange County, CA, responsible for overseeing daily field operations on construction projects. This role coordinates and supervises subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with plans and specifications. The Superintendent manages site logistics, monitors quality control, conducts regular inspections, and maintains detailed project documentation such as daily reports and progress updates. This role collaborates closely with project managers and stakeholders, addresses field issues, and supports compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company standards. The position requires consistent on-site presence to lead crews, enforce safety protocols, and represent WC Build professionally to clients and inspectors.QualificationsExperience supervising commercial construction projects, preferably in tenant improvement, healthcare, ground-up, industrial, or senior-living sectors.Strong skills in field coordination, scheduling, and managing subcontractors and site personnel.Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and construction best practices.Proficiency with construction management software, digital documentation, and basic office tools (e.g., email, spreadsheets).Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to resolve conflicts and guide diverse teams.Proven commitment to jobsite safety, including implementing and enforcing safety plans and procedures.High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or a degree in construction management or related field is a plus.Previous experience as a Superintendent or in a similar field leadership role strongly preferred.Ability to work on-site full time in Orange Count, CA, including occasional extended hours as project needs require.Ability to work night and off-hours.
