SUPPLY BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGERLocation: Riyadh, Saudi ArabiaDepartment: Business Development / SupplyReports to: Commercial / Business LeadershipABOUT THRIVVEThrivve is building a mobility ecosystem that creates more flexible and sustainable access to vehicles—including through our Drive-to-Own model.Our culture is built around four behavioral principles:• Speed: We prioritize intelligently, act with urgency, and communicate risks early.• Impact: We focus on measurable outcomes—not activity for its own sake.• Communication: We communicate clearly, directly, respectfully, and on time.• Ownership: We take responsibility from opportunity or problem through to the final result.These principles are supported by a high-trust, high-performance environment grounded in integrity, clarity, mutual respect, collaboration, and continuous improvement.THE ROLEThrivve is looking for a Supply Business Development Manager to lead the growth, performance, and long-term development of our vehicle supplier network.Your mission is to ensure Thrivve has the right vehicles, from the right partners, at the right commercial terms, and at the scale required to achieve our annual growth targets.You will own the complete supplier lifecycle—from identifying, negotiating with, and onboarding new partners to activating supply, growing existing accounts, managing performance, resolving operational issues, and strengthening supplier retention.A key focus will be developing strategic relationships with dealerships, authorized distributors, leasing companies, rental businesses, fleet operators, and major automotive groups across Saudi Arabia.Success in this role goes beyond signing agreements. It means converting partnerships into activated vehicles, increasing allocation, maintaining supplier satisfaction, and ensuring supply remains aligned with business demand.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. Vehicle Supply Planning and Target Achievement• Own and deliver Thrivve’s annual vehicle acquisition and supply targets.• Translate annual targets into quarterly and monthly acquisition plans.• Build a qualified supplier pipeline that covers upcoming vehicle requirements.• Forecast demand by geography, vehicle category, model, product growth, and pricing.• Identify potential supply gaps early and develop alternative sourcing channels.• Maintain visibility from negotiation and contracting through allocation, delivery, and activation.• Align acquisition plans with Commercial, Operations, Finance, Product, and other relevant teams.2. Supplier Network Expansion• Identify, approach, negotiate with, onboard, and activate new vehicle suppliers.• Expand Thrivve’s network across leasing companies, rental businesses, dealerships, distributors, fleet owners, and automotive groups.• Diversify the supplier base to reduce dependency and concentration risk.• Develop sourcing models that improve availability, flexibility, pricing, and commercial efficiency.• Negotiate competitive terms while building sustainable long-term partnerships.3. Dealership and Automotive Group Development• Build relationships with authorized dealerships, distributors, and major automotive groups.• Position Thrivve as a strategic mobility and vehicle-distribution channel.• Negotiate vehicle allocations, fleet pricing, volume discounts, payment structures, and preferred terms.• Develop joint programs supporting vehicle sales through Thrivve’s mobility and Drive-to-Own ecosystem.• Identify opportunities involving new vehicles, used vehicles, aging inventory, specific models, and fleet allocations.• Build relationships across senior management, fleet sales, corporate sales, finance, and operations.• Develop annual partnership plans that secure recurring vehicle supply.4. Supplier Relationship, Retention and Satisfaction• Act as the primary point of contact for assigned suppliers.• Manage relationships across supplier leadership and operational teams.• Conduct regular meetings, performance reviews, and strategic business reviews.• Develop strategic account plans for key partners.• Identify opportunities to increase allocation from existing suppliers.• Monitor supplier satisfaction, recurring pain points, and relationship risks.• Gather structured feedback and translate it into internal improvements.• Ensure Thrivve remains a trusted and preferred business partner.5. Issue Resolution and Operational Coordination• Serve as the first escalation point for supplier-related issues.• Coordinate with Operations, Product, Finance, Customer Experience, Collections, Technology, and Commercial teams.• Ensure issues are recorded, assigned, escalated, and resolved within agreed service levels.• Keep suppliers informed throughout the resolution process.• Identify recurring issues and work with internal teams to address root causes.• Ensure internal stakeholders understand supplier commitments and operational expectations.6. Supplier Performance Management• Monitor commercial and operational supplier KPIs.• Track vehicle allocation, availability, activation, utilization, delivery, cancellations, bookings, and conversions.• Establish improvement plans for underperforming suppliers.• Develop growth plans with high-performing suppliers.• Use data and operational insights to guide negotiations, portfolio decisions, and supply growth.7. Team and Cross-Functional Leadership• Manage and develop the supply relationship team as the function grows.• Build scalable processes for supplier acquisition, onboarding, relationship management, escalation, and performance management.• Coordinate internally to ensure commitments made to suppliers are delivered.• Represent supplier requirements while protecting Thrivve’s commercial and operational interests.• Provide leadership with clear visibility into supply performance, risks, and opportunities.• Build a performance-driven culture focused on acquisition, satisfaction, accountability, and execution.HOW SUCCESS WILL BE MEASUREDVehicle Supply• Annual, quarterly, and monthly vehicle acquisition achievement• Number of vehicles acquired and activated• Supplier pipeline coverage against upcoming requirements• Supply-to-demand coverage and vehicle activation timeSupplier Network• New suppliers onboarded and activated• Number of active suppliers and total active vehicle supply• Geographic, vehicle-category, and model coverage• Supplier diversification and onboarding lead timeDealership Development• Active dealership and distributor partnerships• Vehicles and recurring allocations secured through dealership channels• Strategic agreements established• Commercial savings and preferential terms achievedSupplier Performance• Supplier retention and satisfaction• Growth in allocation from existing partners• Number of escalations and issue-resolution performance• Vehicle utilization, delivery, cancellation, booking, and conversion performance• Commercial competitiveness of acquired vehiclesREQUIREMENTS• 5+ years of experience in business development, supply management, partnerships, account management, fleet, or operations.• Strong experience within vehicle leasing, car rental, automotive dealerships, authorized distributors, fleet management, mobility, or a related sector.• Strong understanding of Saudi Arabia’s automotive, dealership, leasing, rental, and fleet ecosystem.• Proven ability to identify, negotiate with, onboard, and develop strategic suppliers.• Strong commercial negotiation skills across pricing, allocation, payment structures, and partnership terms.• Experience managing vehicle acquisition, fleet supply, or a large supplier portfolio is highly preferred.• Strong ground-operations experience and willingness to work directly with supplier teams.• Strong problem-solving, escalation-management, and issue-resolution capabilities.• Ability to manage multiple partners, opportunities, and operational priorities.• Strong cross-functional stakeholder management.• Previous experience managing or developing a team is preferred.• Data-driven and commercially minded.• Strong Arabic and English communication skills.• Saudi national preferred.THE IDEAL CANDIDATEYou combine automotive relationships, commercial judgment, business development, and hands-on operational execution.You can negotiate with senior automotive executives, visit fleet operations, resolve urgent supplier issues, review performance data, and coordinate internal teams to deliver commitments.Most importantly, you understand that a signed agreement is only the beginning.
