Role Description This full-time hybrid role, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with some work-from-home flexibility, supports the university’s supply chain and procurement operations. The Supply Chain Assistant / Procurement Assistant / Purchasing Coordinator will assist in sourcing goods and services, preparing purchase orders, and maintaining accurate procurement and inventory records. The role involves coordinating with internal departments to understand requirements, liaising with suppliers, tracking deliveries, and ensuring timely and cost-effective purchasing decisions. Day-to-day responsibilities include updating databases, verifying invoices against purchase orders, monitoring stock levels, and supporting vendor evaluation and contract administration. The position also requires regular communication with stakeholders, handling basic customer service inquiries related to orders, and contributing to continuous improvement of procurement and supply chain processes.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong Communication skills to interact effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to respond to order-related inquiries and support smooth procurement experiences.Candidates should possess Supply Chain Management skills to help track inventory, deliveries, and logistics processes.Candidates should possess Procurement and Purchasing skills to assist in sourcing, negotiating, and processing purchase orders.Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field are beneficial.Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and proficiency in office software (e.g., spreadsheets, ERP systems) are highly valued.Ability to work in a multicultural environment, manage multiple tasks, and follow established policies and procedures is important.Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, or administrative support roles in an educational or public-sector setting is an advantage.
