The Foot Collective · Remote/Hybrid, Australia · Full-time · $80,000-$100,000 + SuperThe Foot Collective is a global training and education company on a mission to restore natural human movement by rebuilding people's relationship with their feet.Every month, our products are made by our manufacturers and artisans across the world, travel by sea, air and customs into warehouses on three continents, then out to thousands of customers globally. When it flows, nobody notices. When a shipment gets stuck, everybody does. We're hiring someone to own that flow. What the job actually isDay one, you own the moving parts and keep them honest:Inbound freight: tracking every shipment, keeping ETAs accurate for our 3PL and our forecasts, and clearing duty and customs holds before they turn into delays.Suppliers and production: staying across what's in production, chasing realistic ship dates, then booking freight, raising shipment notices and getting stock moving. You'll manage supplier invoicing through to payment approval.Inventory: keeping the stock and packaging forecast current, and when a shipment slips, working out whether we're covered and bringing a plan if we're not.3PL and orders: you're our day-to-day contact with the 3PL (receipting, documentation, discrepancies), you work the daily order queue, and you keep CX in the loop so nobody's guessing where an order is.Reporting: a weekly COGS update and a monthly unit economics report the whole business leans on.What you'll grow intoOnce the day-to-day runs smoothly, the role opens up. You won't do these alone or all at once, you'll take them on with support:The reorder call itself, working volumes and timing with the Head of Physical ProductRolling out our new inventory management systemNew fulfilment and market launches internationallyA packaging review across every SKU: cost, protection, and the moment the customer opens the boxA freight partner and carrier rate review across regions, and a quarterly check on shipping charged vs shipping paid so we're not quietly losing marginOptimising our B2B/wholesale fulfilment processHow we workWe're on a mission to restore natural human movement by rebuilding people's relationship with their feet. Feet matter because feet are our foundation for movement, and movement is freedom. The tools you'll move around the world are how people start that work, and moving them well is how we fund what we believe in: every month we put 1% of our net revenue into reforestation that’s helped plant more the 77,000 trees to date.We are united by three values:Truth: We are honest with our customers and with each other. We teach before we sell, and we'd rather have the truthful conversation than the comfortable one.Fun: We take the work seriously and ourselves lightly. The team is tight, the pace is real, and we keep it genuinely enjoyable.Community: We back each other and build for the long term, with our customers, our community, and the team. Everyone owns real territory, and we help each other carry it.You'll thrive here ifYou get real satisfaction from unsticking a stuck shipmentYou like owning a number and being the person who knows the answerYou work things out and act, rather than waiting to be toldYou want to grow into running a function, not stay in a narrow laneYou’re proactive and independent - you don’t need a big team around you to make things happenYou don’t just follow processes, you’re constantly looking for ways to improve themTruth, Fun and Community sound like how you already want to workWhat we're looking forWe care as much about trajectory as about your CV. If you learn fast and take ownership, we'll back you. That said, a few things are genuinely core:EssentialFull working rights in Australia, and Australia-based (we work across regions, but the team runs on Australian hours, with the occasional early or late supplier/delivery call)1–3 years in a supply chain, logistics or freight roleHands-on experience with international freight: sea and air, customs, duties and taxes. This is the core of the role. You don't need to have run it solo, but you've worked in and around it and you're ready to own it. Someone who's only moved stock domestically isn't a fitExperience with a 3PL or external warehouseComfortable dealing directly with overseas suppliers: chasing production, confirming dates, holding people to themStrong with numbers and confident in Excel or Sheets. A lot of this role is forecasting and cost analysisYou already use AI tools in your daily work. It's how this team gets more done with fewer people, and you'll have real scope to buildHighly regardedE-commerce or DTC background (ideally experience with Shopify)An inventory management system or ERP (Cin7, Unleashed, NetSuite, Dear, SAP Business One, Zoho or similar - we use Unleashed)A working understanding of IncotermsUK and EU customs specifically: CDS, EORIA buying or purchasing backgroundHaving run a packaging or freight rate review before, and found real savingsWhat you'll getFully remote across Australia, with a quarterly trip to the Gold Coast office to be with the teamReal ownership from week one, and a genuine path to grow into our Logistics Manager seatA structured first 90 days, so you always know what you're working towardsKPI-linked performance bonuses once the role is establishedWork that funds something real: better health for people, and trees in the groundHow we hireWe move fast and we won't leave you guessing.
