Supply Chain Director

Role DescriptionA Supply Chain Director is responsible for leading supply chain strategy, procurement, logistics, inventory, and distribution activities while improving efficiency, cost control, and service performance.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement supply chain strategies, policies, and procedures.Oversee procurement, sourcing, logistics, warehousing, and distribution.Monitor supply chain KPIs, costs, service levels, and performance.Lead supplier selection, evaluation, negotiation, and relationship management.Manage inventory planning, demand forecasting, purchasing, and replenishment.Optimize transportation, warehouse, and distribution processes.Identify cost-saving and operational efficiency opportunities.Identify and manage supply risks, disruptions, and contingency plans.Coordinate with finance, sales, operations, procurement, and other departments.Monitor supplier quality, delivery performance, and contract compliance.Manage supply chain budgets, spending, forecasts, and cost controls.Oversee ERP, procurement, inventory, and supply chain management systems.Ensure compliance with UAE customs, import/export, and regulatory requirements.Prepare supply chain reports, forecasts, and management recommendations.Lead, develop, and improve the performance of supply chain teams.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.Extensive experience in supply chain management and senior leadership.Strong knowledge of procurement, logistics, inventory, warehousing, and distribution.Experience in strategic sourcing and supplier management.Strong negotiation, commercial, financial, and cost-control skills.Experience with SAP, Oracle, ERP, or supply chain management systems.Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving abilities.Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Knowledge of supply chain risk management and business continuity.Understanding of UAE/GCC customs, import/export, and logistics practices is preferred.Strong planning, organizational, and decision-making skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Professional, proactive, accountable, and results-oriented.
