Apply & track with Apply EdgeRole DescriptionA Supply Chain Director is responsible for leading supply chain strategy, procurement, logistics, inventory, and distribution operations. The role focuses on improving efficiency, reducing costs, managing suppliers, and ensuring reliable supply and service performance.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement supply chain strategies, policies, and procedures.Oversee procurement, sourcing, logistics, warehousing, and distribution.Monitor supply chain KPIs, costs, service levels, and performance.Manage supplier selection, evaluation, negotiation, and relationships.Oversee inventory planning, demand forecasting, purchasing, and replenishment.Optimize transportation, warehousing, and distribution processes.Identify cost-saving and operational efficiency opportunities.Manage supply risks, disruptions, and contingency plans.Coordinate with finance, sales, operations, and procurement teams.Monitor supplier quality, delivery performance, and contract compliance.Manage budgets, spending, forecasts, and cost controls.Oversee ERP, procurement, inventory, and supply chain systems.Ensure compliance with UAE customs, import/export, and regulatory requirements.Prepare supply chain reports, forecasts, and management recommendations.Lead, develop, and improve supply chain teams and processes.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.Extensive experience in supply chain management or a senior leadership role.Strong knowledge of procurement, logistics, inventory, warehousing, and distribution.Experience in strategic sourcing and supplier management.Strong negotiation, commercial, financial, and cost-control skills.Experience with SAP, Oracle, ERP, or supply chain management systems.Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving abilities.Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Knowledge of supply chain risk management and business continuity.Understanding of UAE/GCC customs, import/export, and logistics practices is advantageous.Strong planning, organization, and decision-making skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Professional, accountable, proactive, and results-oriented.
