Apply & track with Apply EdgeWe are seeking an accomplished Supply Chain Manager to establish and lead end-to-end supply chain operations for tyre manufacturing facility. The role will oversee planning, procurement, materials management, warehousing, logistics and supplier performance, ensuring uninterrupted production and optimal inventory levels throughout the plant’s startup and operational phases.Key Responsibilities
- Develop the supply chain strategy, operating model and processes for the plant startup and production ramp-up.
- Lead demand planning, material requirements planning and production planning in alignment with business forecasts.
- Ensure the timely availability of natural and synthetic rubber, carbon black, chemicals, steel cord, textile cord and other production materials.
- Manage local and international procurement, supplier qualification, commercial negotiations and long-term supply agreements.
- Establish inventory policies, safety-stock levels and replenishment parameters to prevent shortages and excess inventory.
- Oversee inbound logistics, customs clearance, warehousing, material handling and outbound distribution activities.
- Monitor supplier quality, delivery performance, lead times and supply risks through structured KPIs and performance reviews.
- Collaborate with Production, Compound Development, Quality, Engineering, Finance and Sales teams to support operational requirements.
- Lead supply chain digitalization and effective utilization of ERP/MRP systems for planning, procurement and inventory control.
- Drive cost optimization, localization, working-capital improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop contingency plans for critical materials, logistics disruptions and single-source supplier risks.
- Recruit, develop and lead the supply chain team while establishing strong governance and operating discipline.Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration or a related discipline; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum 10–12 years of progressive supply chain experience, including leadership responsibility within manufacturing.
- Strong experience in tyre manufacturing is highly preferred.
- Practical knowledge of production planning, MRP, strategic sourcing, inventory management, warehousing and international logistics.
- Experience supporting a greenfield facility, plant startup or significant production ramp-up will be a strong advantage.
- Strong commercial negotiation, supplier-development and cost-management capabilities.
- Proficiency in SAP or a comparable ERP platform, supported by strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; Arabic would be an advantage.
