Combined with our vast network and extraordinary customer-centric approach, we are the obvious choice in helping you find your next home.We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established client in the Greater Vancouver area, in the manufacturing space, for a Senior Supply Chain Manager to join their leadership team.This is a senior leadership role overseeing purchasing, inventory, materials planning, and logistics across the organization's manufacturing operations, with a team of supply chain and purchasing professionals reporting in.Key ResponsibilitiesSet the strategic direction for supply chain operations and build a high-performing purchasing and materials teamOwn supplier relationships end-to-end — sourcing, negotiation, qualification, and ongoing performance managementDevelop contingency plans to protect against material shortages and supply disruptionsSet inventory strategy that balances service levels with working capital, and drive inventory accuracy through cycle counts and process improvementsOversee materials planning, demand forecasting, and inbound/outbound logistics to keep production on scheduleManage subcontracted and outsourced manufacturing relationshipsLead cost-reduction initiatives across materials, logistics, and inventoryDrive ERP and process improvements, building dashboards and reporting to support decision-makingIdentify supply chain risk and lead mitigation and business continuity planningPartner closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Sales, and contribute to sales & operations planningWhat You Bring10+ years of progressive supply chain and procurement experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role spanning multiple sitesManufacturing background preferredBachelor's degree in business, operations, engineering, or a related field; MBA an assetA designation such as SCMP, CSCP, or CPSM is a plusStrong track record in supplier negotiation and contract managementExperience leading ERP and process improvement initiativesStrategic thinker with strong financial acumen and a bias toward continuous improvementWhat's on OfferA senior leadership seat with real influence over supply chain strategyA stable, well-established employer with long-term growth potentialThe opportunity to build and shape a growing supply chain functionA collaborative, cross-functional cultureAt Humans of HR, we support the development and growth of our candidates to reach their full potential.
