Opportunity to lead and influence supply chain strategy within a growing and innovative organisation.Exposure to complex, high-value programs delivering meaningful outcomes.Supportive and collaborative team environment with strong leadership visibility.Long-term career development opportunities within a stable and expanding business.Opportunity to make a genuine impact across operations, supplier performance, and customer delivery outcomes.Your New RoleReporting to senior leadership, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring material availability, supplier performance, and supply continuity to support production schedules and customer delivery commitments.Key responsibilities include:Developing and maintaining supply plans aligned to customer demand, production schedules, and inventory requirements.Collaborating closely with Planning, Purchasing, Production, Engineering, Quality and Program teams to ensure material availability and delivery performance.Managing supplier relationships, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives across local and international supply networks.Monitoring inventory levels and driving inventory optimisation strategies to support operational and working capital objectives.Identifying supply chain risks, shortages, and constraints while implementing proactive mitigation and recovery plans.Leading supplier performance reviews and driving improvements in delivery reliability, responsiveness, quality, and capacity.Supporting new program introductions and evolving customer requirements by ensuring supply chain readiness.Coordinating import and export activities while ensuring compliance with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.Monitoring key supply chain KPIs including on-time delivery, schedule adherence, material availability, supplier performance, and inventory health.Working closely with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure efficient material flow and support manufacturing operations.What You'll Need to SucceedDemonstrated experience in a Supply Chain role on a defence or aerospace project - mandetory. Australian Citizenship with NV1, or eligability to obtain NV1. 5+ years experience operating within a complex manufacturing, engineering, defence, aerospace, or similarly regulated environment.Strong supplier management experience, including performance management, risk mitigation, and supply continuity planning.Experience supporting production environments with responsibility for material availability and delivery performance.Strong understanding of inventory optimisation, demand planning, and supply planning processes.Experience utilising ERP/MRP systems for planning, reporting, and material management.Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and relationship management skills.Experience managing supply disruptions, shortages, recovery plans, and continuous improvement initiatives.Defence industry experience or exposure to complex contractual and compliance environments will be highly regarded.What You Need to Do NowIf you're interested in this opportunity, click Apply Now or send your CV directly to amy. mcnulty @hays .com .au for a confidential discussion.
