Supply Chain Manager - FMCG Location: West ByfleetSalary: £50,000 - £55,000Loom Talent are working exclusively with a growing FMCG / Retail business to appoint a Supply Chain Manager - FMCG into a highly visible role within the organisation.This is a broad, hands-on supply chain position covering planning, purchasing, inventory, imports, logistics, warehousing and customer fulfilment. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders and play a key role in improving product availability, service levels and supply chain performance.The RoleAs Supply Chain Manager - FMCG you'll take ownership of the end-to-end supply chain, balancing customer demand, stock availability and working capital while ensuring products move efficiently from international suppliers through to customers.Key areas of responsibility include:Demand, supply and inventory planning across multiple product ranges and channelsManaging stock availability, stock turns, excess inventory and supply risksSupplier management, purchasing and expeditingInternational logistics, freight, imports, customs and landed costsManaging third-party warehouses and logistics partnersDriving strong OTIF and customer fulfilment performance across B2B and B2CSupporting new product introductions and product transitionsAnalysing supply chain data, KPIs and performance to identify improvementsDeveloping and improving processes, systems and reportingLeading and developing a small supply chain teamWorking closely with Sales, Finance, Operations and senior leadershipThis is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being close to the detail, solving problems and taking ownership rather than simply managing from a distance.About YouWe're looking for an experienced supply chain professional with:5-8 years' experience across supply chain, planning, imports and/or S&OPStrong experience across inventory, purchasing and international logisticsExperience supplying or fulfilling orders for major retailersStrong Excel and analytical skillsExperience working across B2B and multi-channel environmentsGood understanding of import processes, duties and international freightExperience using an ERP system; NetSuite experience would be advantageousStrong supplier and stakeholder management skillsA commercially minded, organised and proactive approachThe ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage competing prioritiesPrevious team leadership or people management experienceExperience with demand/production planning, MRP, CIPS or S&OP would be advantageous.Why This Role?The Supply Chain Manager - FMCG is offering genuine ownership across the operation, with exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to make a tangible impact on availability, customer service, cost and operational performance.
