Surety Client AdministratorCandidate must be local to the San Diego Area.SummaryThe Client Administrator (CA) in the Surety department is the primary client contact for processing all bond requests and holds full responsibility for processing services across all surety customer accounts. The Surety CA ensures clients' bond execution needs are well served and will also be a licensed Notary.The following is illustrative of the general activities of this position and does not reflect every task this role may undertake. Training and resources will be provided to ensure the employee is able to accomplish what is required.DutiesProcess all bond requests and pre-qualification (PQ) letters.Obtain approval and communicate conditions of approval for all bond requests within established underwriting authority limits.Administer department invoicing — track aging and keep accounts current.Prepare and manage routine bond requests (endorsements, consents, closing activities, renewals, status inquiries, bid result tracking, subcontract bond authentication, notarizing bonds).Maintain client and company servicing documents, and communicate all surety company requirements needed to process bonds and related documents to the department.Maintain control sheets, summary sheets, and the department's bond management system records.Review and attach scanned mailouts/faxes.Serve as backup to senior members of the Surety department.Process new account set-up and entry, including in the bond management system.Process client kits and General Indemnity Agreements (GIA).Process line sheets and updates.Suggest new prospecting and marketing ideas.Keep accounts receivable current.Serve as backup to others in the Surety department and perform other duties as required or assigned.Answer written or oral questions from insureds and/or surety companies regarding accounts; assist with marketing new business and renewal lines of credit.Work with underwriters and clients to obtain additional information for lines of credit and specific bond requests.QualificationsHigh School Diploma1+ Year Industry Experience (Preferred)Licensed Notary (Preferred)AbilitiesYou lead through your actions and embrace your responsibilities.You're a continuous learner who is always seeking to improve.You put the team first and create ways to make your peers better.You deliver an exceptional level of service to those you work with.You have strong interpersonal skills and thrive in a team environment.You're an effective communicator; both written and verbal.You can be trusted to handle confidential and sensitive information.You have strong organization and project management skills.You have the ability to focus on the task-at-hand and multi-task as needed.You're great with attention to detail and producing high-quality work.You're able to grasp complex issues and establish proactive solutions to address those issues.You have strong editing and writing skills.You have a positive attitude and work ethic.
