From award-winning chefs and fresh Maine seafood to craft breweries, waterfront dining and vibrant farmers markets, the city has become a destination for food lovers from around the world.ResponsibilitiesEvaluate and treat patients with benign and malignant tumors requiring surgical managementPerform complex oncologic surgical procedures including gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, soft tissue, and melanoma surgeriesConduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including biopsies, tumor resections, and lymph node dissectionsCollaborate with medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, and pathologists to develop comprehensive treatment plansParticipate in multidisciplinary cancer conferences and tumor boardsProvide consultation services and follow-up care for oncology patientsMaintain accurate documentation and comply with hospital and regulatory standardsQualificationsMD or DO from an accredited medical schoolCompletion of General Surgery ResidencyFellowship training in Surgical Oncology or complex general surgical oncology preferredBoard Certified or Board Eligible in General SurgeryEligible for medical licensure in the State of MaineCommitment to patient-centered care and collaborative practicePay TransparencyCentral Maine Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $475,000 to $579,000.
