Surgical Tech (CST) or LPN – Endoscopy

Employment Type:Full timeShift:Day ShiftDescription:What You Will Do:Assist the surgical team in Endoscopy by preparing operating rooms and supporting procedures under the supervision of the circulating nurseVerify correct surgical site, assist with patient transport as needed, and prepare the pre‑operative siteReview OR schedules, note changes to procedures, and gather required equipment, instruments, and supplies based on surgeon preference cardsPerform surgical scrub, don sterile gown and gloves, and participate in opening and maintaining the sterile fieldInstrument surgical cases, pass instruments to surgeons, and anticipate needs to support uninterrupted proceduresPerform sponge, sharps, and instrument counts in accordance with policyAssist with prepping and draping patients and gowning and gloving surgical team membersPrepare sterile dressings and ensure all equipment is functioning properly, reporting any malfunctions, and more.Schedule:Monday – Friday8 hour shiftsStart and end times depend on department’s scheduled proceduresStart times between 6 am and 8 amEnd times between 4:30 pm and 5:30 pmLater starts on ThursdaysMinimal on "call" rotation dependent on department need, 30-minute response time.Minimum Qualifications:Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology; completion of surgical tech apprenticeship or military program; graduate of an LPN program with Surgical experience; or equivalent experience to demonstrate competency.  CST certification preferred but not required in Iowa. LPN license required if graduate of LPN program.  No prior experience required.Previous endo/GI experience preferred. Position Highlights and Benefits We care about your well-being—both physical and mental—with a comprehensive benefits packageEffective Day 1 benefits for positions 16 hours per week or greater, including medical, dental, vision, and moreWellness programs to support your overall healthEducation assistance and tuition reimbursementCompetitive wages, including weekend and night shift differentialsGenerous paid time off programLong- and short-term leave optionsRetirement savings program with employer match starting Day 1Retirement planning resourcesLife insurance coverageMinistry/Facility Information:MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center provides expert health care to 15 counties.MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center is a 342 bed, regional referral teaching hospital in Mason City, Iowa.
