We are hiring for a Laser Technician or Surgical Technologist. Every successful procedure depends on a sterile field that never fails and a team that anticipates the next instrument before it is requested. As a Surgical Technologist with Talent Consultants, you keep that standard in high-volume ORs so surgeons can focus on the patient and hospitals can deliver safer, faster cases. Your precision directly reduces turnaround time, infection risk, and delays that cost lives and revenue.Performance ObjectivesPrepare and maintain a fully sterile field for 8–12 cases per shift with zero breaks in technique, achieving first-case on-time starts ≥95%.Anticipate and pass instruments, sutures, and implants so that average case time stays within surgeon preference-card targets.Complete instrument counts, specimen handling, and documentation with 100% accuracy before the patient leaves the room.Turn over rooms in ≤20 minutes while restocking and verifying sterile integrity for the next procedure.Mentor CST I staff on two complex specialties (orthopedics, robotics, or cardiac) so they independently cover those cases within 90 days.Identify and resolve equipment or supply gaps before they delay a case, keeping unplanned downtime under 2% of scheduled OR minutes.Environment & ResourcesYou report to the OR Clinical Coordinator and work alongside circulating RNs, surgeons, and anesthesia. You have access to preference-card systems, sterile processing, and a dedicated instrument budget. Standard shift is 8- or 10-hour days with call rotation; advanced energy devices, robotics, and implant consignment are already in place.Essential QualificationsCurrent CST certification (NBSTSA) and BLS; CST II-level experience in at least two surgical specialties.Documented record of maintaining sterile technique and accurate counts in 500+ cases.Ability to stand for full cases, lift 50 lbs, and respond to trauma or add-on cases within 30 minutes when on call.Proven skill reading preference cards, assembling trays, and troubleshooting common OR equipment on the fly.Clear, calm communication under pressure with surgeons and circulating staff.Role Selling PointsHigh-acuity case mix with real autonomy once competency is signed off.Structured pathway from Laser Technician to first-assist or educator roles.Competitive differentials for evenings, weekends, and call, plus full benefits from day one.Direct partnership with Talent Consultants so your next assignment or permanent placement is handled by people who already know your skills. If you keep the field sterile, the team moving, and the patient safe, apply now.
