Territory Manager – Surgical & AnaesthesiaPosition SummaryThe Territory Manager – Surgical & Anaesthesia is responsible for driving sales growth, developing customer relationships, and providing product support across a designated territory. The role focuses on promoting a portfolio of surgical and anaesthesia products to hospitals, healthcare professionals, and procurement teams while delivering exceptional customer service and clinical support.The successful candidate will identify new business opportunities, strengthen existing customer partnerships, and work collaboratively with clinical and commercial stakeholders to achieve sales objectives. This position requires a proactive, customer-focused professional with strong commercial acumen and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business DevelopmeAchieve and exceed territory sales targets and key performance indicatorsDevelop and implement a territory business plan to maximise market opportunitiesIdentify new business opportunities within public and private hospitalsMaintain and grow relationships with surgeons, anaesthetists, theatre staff, clinical nurse specialists, procurement teams, and hospital managementConduct regular customer visits to promote products and servicesPrepare quotations and support contract and tender opportunities where requiredMaintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reporting. Clinical Product SupportProvide product demonstrations and in-service education to healthcare professionalsSupport clinicians during product evaluations and theatre cases where appropriateDeliver technical product expertise and clinical guidance to customersEnsure customers receive ongoing product training and support following implementationRespond promptly to customer enquiries and resolve issues professionallyAccount ManagementBuild long-term strategic partnerships with key healthcare accountsUnderstand customer needs and recommend appropriate product solutionsDevelop account plans to increase product adoption and market shareMonitor competitor activity and communicate market intelligence to managementTerritory ManagementEffectively manage travel schedules and customer appointments across the territoryMaintain accurate customer records using the CRM systemPrepare regular activity reports, sales updates, and business reviewsParticipate in sales meetings, product training, and industry conferencesComplianceEnsure all activities comply with healthcare industry regulations, company policies, and relevant ethical standardsMaintain a thorough understanding of applicable procurement processes and hospital compliance requirementsRequired Qualifications/EducationBachelor's degree in Business, Science, Nursing, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline is desirablExperienceMinimum of 3 years' medical device or healthcare sales experienceExperience selling surgical, anaesthesia, operating theatre, or critical care products is highly desirableExperience managing hospital accounts and clinical stakeholdersDemonstrated success achieving sales targets within a healthcare environmentsExperience supporting theatre procedures is advantageous
