Company Description Tridel Technologies Group is a UAE-based professional organization specializing in environmental solutions through integrated expertise in environmental science, engineering, and technology.Role SummaryResponsible for supporting the planning, mobilisation, integration, operation, and delivery of hydrographic survey systems for offshore, coastal, inland, and scientific survey projects. The role includes hydrographic data acquisition, survey systems integration, vessel commissioning, equipment maintenance, and technical support. Following competency development, the engineer is expected to work independently in remote and offshore environments with minimal supervision. Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with the mobilisation, installation, integration, and commissioning of hydrographic survey systems onboard vessels and project sites. Configure, calibrate, test, and operate hydrographic survey equipment for field operations. Conduct hydrographic surveys in accordance with industry standards, project specifications, and company procedures. Perform sensor calibration, patch testing, GNSS verification, sound velocity collection, and quality control checks. Process, validate, and document hydrographic survey data in accordance with project specifications. Support the integration and commissioning of survey, navigation, and scientific payloads during vessel new builds, upgrades, and deliveries. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, networking, and instrumentation issues in the field and workshop. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of survey equipment and associated systems. Prepare technical documentation, survey reports, equipment records, and project deliverables. Coordinate with project managers, vessel crews, subcontractors, equipment manufacturers, and clients during project execution. Ensure compliance with company quality, health, safety, and environmental procedures. Maintain readiness for offshore, remote, and international deployments, including the ability to work independently where operationally required.Perform factory acceptance testing (FAT), harbour acceptance testing (HAT), and sea acceptance trials (SAT) for integrated survey systems where required.  Technical AreasHydrographic Survey Systems (MBES & SBES) GNSS Positioning & Navigation Systems Inertial Navigation Systems (INS/MRU) Side Scan Sonar & Sub-bottom Profilers Acoustic Positioning Systems (USBL/LBL) Survey & Scientific Vessel Integration and Commissioning Scientific Payload IntegrationMarine Power Distribution & Communications Marine Networking & Data Communications Survey Data Acquisition & Processing Survey Equipment Calibration & Quality Assurance Electrical & Instrumentation Troubleshooting Preventive & Corrective Maintenance  Preferred SkillsKnowledge of hydrographic surveying principles and marine survey operations. Experience with hydrographic software such as Qinsy, CARIS, HYPACK, EIVA, or similar. Understanding of marine electronics, instrumentation, and networking. Practical aptitude for mechanical and electrical installation work. Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues under field conditions. Strong organisational, communication, and technical reporting skills. Willingness to travel extensively and work offshore or in remote environments. Ability to work independently following appropriate training and competency assessment.  QualificationsBachelor's degree in Hydrography, Marine Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Geomatics, Surveying, or a related engineering discipline. Valid passport and willingness to travel internationally. UAE driving licence (desirable).
