Sustainability Analyst

Role DescriptionThe Sustainability Analyst is responsible for supporting the development, monitoring, and continuous improvement of sustainability initiatives through data analysis, research, reporting, and performance assessment. The role involves collecting and evaluating environmental, social, and operational data to identify sustainability trends, risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.Key responsibilities include collecting, validating, and analyzing sustainability data related to energy, carbon emissions, water consumption, waste, resources, and other relevant environmental indicators. The Sustainability Analyst will support the development of sustainability reports, dashboards, performance summaries, targets, and key performance indicators while ensuring that data is accurate, consistent, and properly documented.The role also involves researching sustainability regulations, standards, reporting frameworks, industry developments, and emerging practices. The Analyst will assist in assessing sustainability performance, identifying improvement opportunities, preparing recommendations, and supporting the implementation of sustainability programs across relevant business functions.The successful candidate should demonstrate strong analytical and research capabilities, attention to detail, and an understanding of sustainability principles. The ability to interpret complex information, communicate findings clearly, and translate data into practical insights is essential.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Engineering, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.Strong understanding of sustainability principles, environmental management, climate-related issues, and responsible business practices.Knowledge of carbon emissions, energy efficiency, waste management, water consumption, resource efficiency, and environmental performance indicators.Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks, environmental standards, certifications, and relevant regulations.Strong data collection, validation, analysis, and reporting skills.Ability to develop and monitor sustainability KPIs, dashboards, reports, and performance summaries.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis or visualization tools; knowledge of relevant sustainability software is an advantage.Strong research skills with the ability to identify, evaluate, and summarize sustainability-related information.Excellent analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities.Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality.Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical findings clearly.Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple analytical tasks and priorities.Proactive, structured, curious, and committed to continuous improvement and measurable sustainability outcomes.
