Sustainability Manager

Role Description The Sustainability Manager is a part-time, hybrid role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with flexibility for some work from home. The role involves developing and implementing sustainability strategies related to cross-border freight and event operations, aligning initiatives with corporate and industry standards. Day-to-day tasks include conducting sustainability assessments, collecting and analyzing environmental and social impact data, and preparing sustainability reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. The Sustainability Manager will collaborate with partners and vendors to promote sustainable development practices, support the integration of sustainability objectives into event planning, and monitor progress against key sustainability metrics. The role also includes staying informed about emerging sustainability regulations and trends relevant to logistics, freight, and cross-border trade.QualificationsDemonstrated expertise in Corporate Sustainability and Sustainable Development, with the ability to design and guide sustainability initiatives across events and freight operations.Strong Sustainability Reporting experience, including the collection, interpretation, and presentation of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) data.Excellent Analytical Skills to evaluate sustainability performance, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend data-driven improvements.Effective Communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders, prepare clear reports, and present complex information in an accessible way.Experience in logistics, freight, or supply chain sectors is highly beneficial, particularly in cross-border or international contexts.Familiarity with relevant sustainability frameworks and standards (e.g., GRI, UN SDGs, ISO 14001) is an advantage.Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business, Logistics, or a related field; advanced degrees or professional certifications in sustainability are preferred.Ability to work independently in a hybrid setting, manage multiple projects, and collaborate effectively with international partners.
