Sustainability Specialist

Key responsibilitiesDevelop and align sustainability strategies and initiatives across BIHG’s portfolio companies.Conduct double materiality assessments at group and subsidiary levels to identify ESG risks and opportunities.Work with business units to define and track KPIs for emissions reduction, resource efficiency, diversity and inclusion, and governance.Coordinate the collection, validation, and consolidation of ESG data in line with GRI Standards and other applicable frameworks, including ISSB/SASB, TCFD, the UN SDGs, and the GHG Protocol.Draft the annual Group Sustainability/ESG Report and prepare disclosures for the Board, investors, regulators, and external rating agencies.Establish data collection processes for Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions; energy and water use; circularity; waste; and social indicators across subsidiaries.Partner with Internal Audit to strengthen data integrity and prepare ESG information for third-party assurance.Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on Group sustainability matters.Deliver workshops and training to build ESG knowledge across subsidiary management teams.Monitor relevant regional and international sustainability requirements and advise on upcoming reporting or compliance needs.Qualifications and experienceBachelor’s degree in environmental science, Engineering, or a related field.Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in sustainability, ESG reporting, or a related field.GRI Certification required.Proficiency in Arabic and English.
