With 2,000+ searches and deep industry expertise, we deliver high-touch service and leadership talent that drives long-term value.Key ResponsibilitiesPick the small set of technology bets that would actually move the needle on revenue and margin, and see them through to completionMake deliberate build-versus-buy calls on the systems that matter most, rather than defaulting to either extremeSet direction for the CRM platform, and assess whether the company's scheduling, service management, and billing-to-cash tools are keeping pace with a workforce spread across many sitesDefine what the company's approach to AI should be and drive it into production, building on the data and analytics foundation already in place to inform day-to-day operational decisionsConsolidate and modernize the underlying cloud and infrastructure environment as the technology stack evolvesRetire the legacy ERP system and shape what replaces it, designing an architecture built for a company that keeps growing through acquisitionPlay an active role in deal diligence and the post-close work of folding new companies' systems, data, and field tools into the existing environmentMake sure the fundamentals of IT just work as the organization adds people and locations, whether through organic growth or acquisition, building an internal operations team strong enough to own day-to-day support so this role can stay focused on strategyPut a regular rhythm in place for reviewing the roadmap, tracking service levels and support metrics, and keeping spend visible, so leadership is never surprised by where things standMix staffing models deliberately, drawing on internal talent, project consultants, and managed-service partners depending on what a given need actually calls forQualifications & ExperienceMust be in Southern California.Ran technology as the top function at a similarly sized organization, or owned a major program inside a larger company and is ready to run the whole functionComes from a distributed, multi-site workforce environment (field operations, plants, on-site service) rather than purely corporate ITLed a lean team leveraging outside partners, not a large internal departmentComfortable with the pace and ambiguity of a fast-growing, private equity-backed businessTranslates technology into plain business terms for non-technical leaders and the boardStrong track record turning complex initiatives into plans that actually ship valueSkilled at driving real adoption of new systems, not just deploymentHigh personal urgency — moves in days and weeks, comfortable from board-level strategy to hands-on executionStrong talent instincts, with good judgment on building in-house versus outsourcingDeployed technology that changed how a distributed, operationally intensive business ranDeal diligence, execution, or integration experience is a plus, as is ownership of a core platform like CRM, ERP, scheduling, or field service toolsHow to Apply:Submit your resumeOur team will review your applicationIf your experience aligns with the role, we'll reach out to discuss the opportunity furtherEven if this role isn't the perfect match, we'll add you to our talent network for future opportunitiesAt NU Advisory Partners, we're committed to identifying and placing exceptional leaders in roles where they can drive meaningful impact.
