Swimming Pool Estimation & Design EngineerWe are looking for a Swimming Pool Estimation & Design Engineer to join our technical office team in Dubai.The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing project requirements, preparing swimming pool designs and technical drawings, carrying out quantity take-offs, and preparing accurate cost estimates and quotations for swimming pool projects.This is primarily an office-based technical position focused on design, estimation, and tendering. It is not a sales position and not a site engineer position.Key ResponsibilitiesReview tender documents, architectural drawings, specifications, BOQs, and other project requirements.Prepare swimming pool layouts, technical drawings, sections, details, and drawing revisions using AutoCAD.Develop preliminary swimming pool designs based on architectural and project requirements.Carry out accurate quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.Prepare BOQs and detailed cost estimates for swimming pool works.Prepare pricing for swimming pool packages, including:Civil and structural pool worksWaterproofingPool finishes and tilingSwimming pool MEP and filtration systemsPumps, filters, piping, fittings, valves, and associated equipmentAcrylic pool panels and related specialist works, where applicableObtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors and evaluate them for technical and commercial compliance.Prepare cost breakdowns, estimation sheets, and technical and commercial quotations.Review project specifications and identify scope requirements, exclusions, discrepancies, and items requiring clarification.Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, and internal project teams to obtain information required for accurate design and pricing.Maintain organized records of estimates, supplier quotations, BOQs, drawings, technical documents, and project correspondence.Support drawing revisions and technical documentation related to tendering and estimation activities.Site & Client/Consultant VisitsAlthough this is an office-based position, the candidate may occasionally be required to visit a project site, client office, or consultant office when additional information is required to complete a design or quotation.Such visits may include:Taking site measurements.Reviewing existing site conditions.Verifying dimensions and interfaces relevant to the swimming pool scope.Collecting technical information required for design and estimation.Attending technical clarification meetings with clients or consultants when necessary.These visits are intended only to support design, estimation, and quotation activities.The position does not include site supervision, site progress monitoring, daily construction activities, manpower supervision, installation supervision, or regular site engineer responsibilities.RequirementsEngineering degree, diploma, or relevant technical background.Good working knowledge of AutoCAD is essential.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications.Ability to read and understand architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.Ability to prepare technical drawings and drawing revisions independently.Good understanding of quantity take-offs, BOQs, and cost estimation.Strong numerical and analytical skills.Good attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies between drawings, specifications, and BOQs.Good written and verbal communication skills in English.Ability to communicate professionally with suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, and project teams.Ability to organize and manage multiple quotations and tender requirements simultaneously.Willingness to make occasional project site or client/consultant office visits when required specifically for design and estimation purposes.Preferred ExperiencePrevious UAE experience in one or more of the following areas will be considered an advantage:Swimming pool design and constructionSwimming pool estimation and tenderingSwimming pool MEP and filtration systemsWater featuresMEP estimationConstruction estimationCandidates from related construction or MEP backgrounds with strong AutoCAD, quantity take-off, and estimation skills may also be considered.Position TypeFull-time | Office-based | Dubai, UAEThe primary responsibilities of this position are swimming pool design, AutoCAD drafting, quantity take-off, estimation, tendering, and preparation of technical and commercial quotations.This position is not a Sales or Business Development role and does not involve sales targets, lead generation, or client acquisition.It is also not a Site Engineer role. The employee will not be responsible for site progress activities, daily site supervision, construction management, manpower management, or monitoring installation works.Any site visits will be specifically related to obtaining the measurements, site information, or technical clarifications required to prepare accurate designs and quotations.
