Job Title: Synthetic Personality Designer — AI & Digital Characters (1 Position)About the JobWe are seeking a creative and psychologically minded Synthetic Personality Designer to design distinctive, believable and consistent personalities for AI-driven characters, digital humans and virtual personas. The successful candidate will define how synthetic characters think, communicate, react, develop relationships and express identity across different digital environments and interactions.This is a cross-disciplinary role combining character design, psychology, storytelling, behavioral design and artificial intelligence. You will work closely with AI developers, character artists, writers, performance specialists and product teams to transform conceptual character identities into coherent, engaging and reusable personality systems for interactive experiences.ResponsibilitiesDesign complete personality frameworks for AI characters, digital humans and virtual personas.Define character identity, values, motivations, goals, fears, strengths, weaknesses, preferences and behavioral patterns.Develop personality profiles that remain consistent across conversations, scenarios, platforms and long-term interactions.Create character backstories, personal histories, relationships, worldview and narrative foundations.Design conversational styles, vocabulary, tone of voice, emotional expression and communication patterns for synthetic characters.Translate creative and psychological concepts into structured personality specifications that can be implemented by AI and technology teams.Define how characters respond to different emotional, social and situational contexts.Develop behavioral rules, decision patterns and interaction principles for AI-driven characters.Collaborate with writers and dialogue designers to ensure that character dialogue remains authentic to the designed personality.Work with AI engineers and conversational designers to translate personality concepts into prompts, behavioral frameworks, system instructions and evaluation criteria.Develop personality variations and adaptive behaviors for different audiences, environments and use cases.Review AI-generated interactions and identify inconsistencies, unnatural behaviors or personality drift.Create testing scenarios to evaluate character consistency, emotional credibility and behavioral authenticity.Support the development of synthetic characters for entertainment, education, virtual production, digital experiences, gaming, cultural projects and interactive media.Maintain detailed character documentation and ensure personality continuity throughout the development lifecycle.Research emerging approaches in AI character design, synthetic identities, conversational agents, digital humans and behavioral AI.QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Character Design, Creative Writing, Performing Arts, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Game Design, Artificial Intelligence, Communication, or a related field.At least 3–5 years of experience in character development, narrative design, behavioral design, conversational AI, interactive media, game development, digital humans or a related field.Strong understanding of personality, motivation, emotion, human behavior and interpersonal dynamics.Demonstrable ability to create distinctive and psychologically coherent fictional or digital characters.Excellent storytelling and character-development skills, with the ability to build complex personalities beyond simple character descriptions.Strong writing and communication skills, particularly in dialogue, character voice and behavioral documentation.Understanding of generative AI, conversational AI, large language models or AI-powered character systems.Ability to translate creative concepts into structured frameworks that can be understood and implemented by technical teams.Experience designing character behavior across multiple situations, emotional states and interaction scenarios.Strong analytical and observational skills with an ability to identify behavioral inconsistencies and personality drift.Excellent collaboration skills and experience working with multidisciplinary teams.Ability to balance creative freedom with consistency, usability and technical constraints.Fluency in English; additional languages are an asset.Portfolio demonstrating character design, narrative design, personality systems, interactive characters, conversational experiences or related work is strongly preferred.What We OfferThe opportunity to design personalities for next-generation AI characters and digital humans.A multidisciplinary environment bringing together AI specialists, writers, artists, designers, performers and technologists.The opportunity to influence how synthetic characters communicate, behave and form relationships with users.Access to emerging AI, digital human and interactive character technologies.Creative ownership over character identity and behavioral design.Opportunities to contribute to innovative entertainment, cultural, educational and immersive technology projects.Professional development opportunities in AI character design, behavioral systems and synthetic media.A collaborative environment where psychology, storytelling, technology and performance intersect.How to ApplyPlease submit the following to farhang@parsikia.ir with subject line “Synthetic Personality Designer — AI & Digital Characters”:1.
