Job Title: System Debug and Hardware Test Technician (SSD Testing, Rework & Lab Lead)Location: Rancho Cordova, CA 95670 (100% Onsite)Contract Duration: 12 Months Contract with possibility of ExtensionShift Structure: First Shift | Type 1 Shift (Standard Business Hours / 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM), Monday through FridayPay Rate: $24.00 - $26.00/hr on W2Portfolio Requirement: N/AVisa Sponsorship: Standard onshore onboarding requirements apply.Job Description: Our client is an industry leader in next-generation NAND flash memory, solid-state storage technologies, and enterprise data solutions, is seeking an experienced Platform & Validation Technician II to join their Global Operations and Test Lab team in Rancho Cordova, CA. In this hands-on technical lab role, you will perform hardware platform validation, debug PC/server systems, and execute functional testing and component rework on enterprise Solid State Drives (SSDs) utilizing PCIe Gen4 test platforms. Serving as a technical lead for a small team of 3 lab technicians, you will oversee daily test flows, update tracking logs in SAP, configure server operating systems, and assist with lab layout and network cabling.Key Responsibilities:SSD Testing & Validation: Execute predefined hardware/software test scripts and benchmarks on enterprise SSDs utilizing PCIe Gen4 validation platforms in a controlled test environment.Component Rework & Hardware Debug: Perform fine-pitch component rework, hardware modifications, and board-level debug on prototype drive assemblies and test systems.Technical Lab Team Guidance: Act as the lead point of contact to coordinate and guide daily testing and rework workflows for a team of 3 lab technicians.System Build & OS Configuration: Build, configure, and troubleshoot PC and server platforms; install and administer diverse operating systems (Windows Server, Linux distributions, legacy environments).SAP & Inventory Tracking: Maintain accurate records of test results, prototype inventory, unit dispositions, and revenue-related tracking workflows within SAP.Lab Maintenance & Infrastructure: Assist with lab layout reorganizations, machine installations, rack cabling, networking configurations, and bench test rewiring.Required Qualifications & Skills:Experience: 4 to 6 years of hands-on technical experience in PC/server hardware build, hardware validation, lab testing, or board-level troubleshooting.SSD & Platform Expertise: Demonstrated practical experience testing and validating Solid State Drives (SSDs) on Gen4 / PCIe platforms.Hardware Rework: Proven skill in electronics rework, component soldering/rework, and hardware diagnostics.OS & Networking Administration: Solid proficiency installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows Server and Linux operating system environments.ERP Tracking: Working experience logging parts, testing disposition, and tracking asset inventory in SAP.Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required (Technical trade school, military technical training, or Associate’s degree in Electronics/Computer Science preferred).Stand-Out Skills (Preferred):Experience acting as a lead technician, lab lead, or mentoring junior bench technicians.Deep familiarity with NVMe, PCIe protocols, and enterprise storage validation methodologies.Knowledge of server hardware architectures, enterprise RAID arrays, and network switch configurations.Actual Skills Required:Enterprise SSD Functional Testing & Validation (PCIe Gen4)Board-Level Electronics Rework & Hardware Platform DebuggingServer & PC System Assembly, Provisioning & OS Installation (Linux/Windows Server)SAP Inventory Tracking & Lab Asset ManagementLab Team Workflow Coordination & Network Cabling/SetupRecruiter Email ID: jevin@cube-hub.com
