System Engineer

Job Purpose:Design, implement, and maintain IT systems and infrastructure to support business intelligence operations. Collaborate with technical teams to ensure system reliability, performance, and security. Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvements while aligning with organizational objectives and service delivery standards.Job Responsibilities:• Design, configure, and maintain servers, databases, and network systems supporting BI operations.• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability.• Implement system upgrades, patches, and security updates according to best practices.• Collaborate with the Technical Team Leader and other IT teams to plan and deploy new solutions.• Maintain detailed system documentation, configuration records, and troubleshooting logs.• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, IT standards, and security regulations.• Assist in disaster recovery planning, backup procedures, and system redundancy initiatives.• Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and BI team members.• Participate in continuous improvement projects to optimize system performance and operations.• Coordinate with vendors and external partners for system support and solutions integration.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.0–3 years of experience in IT systems engineering, preferably in a BI or enterprise support environment.Experience with Fiber optics concepts (FTTH, fiber monitoring).Strong knowledge of server and network infrastructure (CCNA), virtualization (VMWare), and storage solutions.Experience with operating systems (windows server, Linux), databases, and enterprise applications.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Ability to work under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
