Working closely with hardware, mechanical, and software teams, this role oversees project execution from technical requirement gathering through system FAT/SAT (Factory/Site Acceptance Testing) and final site commissioning.Key Responsibilities * PLC & PAC Programming: Design, code, test, and debug Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programs using Rockwell platforms, primarily Studio 5000 Logix Designer and RSLogix 500/5000 (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, GuardLogix). * HMI & SCADA Development: Develop human-machine interface (HMI) and supervisory control screens using FactoryTalk View (ME/SE), FactoryTalk Optix, or ThinManager solutions. * Industrial Networking: Configure and maintain industrial communication networks, including EtherNet/IP, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Modbus, and PROFINET. * Drive & Motion Systems: Integrate and calibrate Rockwell PowerFlex VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives) and Kinetix servo drive systems. * Hardware & Panel Design: Interpret and review electrical schematics, I/O layouts, panel wiring diagrams, and P&ID drawings. * Testing & Commissioning: Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and lead on-site installation, startup, and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) at customer facilities. * Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose root causes of control hardware, software, network, or field device failures on factory floors. * Documentation & Compliance: Produce functional specs, cause-and-effect matrices, operating manuals, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) while maintaining compliance with industry standards (e.g., NFPA 79, UL 508A, IEC 61508).Required Qualifications & Skills| Education | Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related technical discipline. || Work Experience | 3–5+ years of hands-on experience designing and programming Allen-Bradley / Rockwell Automation platforms. || Software Proficiency | Studio 5000 Logix Designer, RSLogix 500/5000, FactoryTalk View (ME/SE), FactoryTalk Linx. || Hardware Competency | Allen-Bradley ControlLogix, CompactLogix PLCs, PowerFlex drives, Kinetix motion controllers, PanelView HMIs. || Networking Protocols | EtherNet/IP, CIP, Modbus TCP/IP, OPC UA/DA. |Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills * Experience with Rockwell MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) like FactoryTalk ProductionCentre or Plex. * Knowledge of Functional Safety standards (ISO 13849, IEC 62061) and Safety PLCs (GuardLogix). * Familiarity with database integrations (SQL, ODBC) and OPC communication. * Exposure to Python, C#, or Linux environments for advanced automation tools.
