System Engineer – Expert Level

Job Summary:We are seeking an Expert System Engineer with extensive experience in enterprise IT infrastructure operations, HCI, system administration, and infrastructure integration. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on expertise in Nutanix HCI, Linux, and Windows environments, with strong knowledge of databases and enterprise system integrations.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage complex IT infrastructure and system operations in enterprise environments.Provide expert-level administration and troubleshooting for Nutanix HCI platforms.Design, implement, maintain, and optimize Linux and Windows Server environments.Perform advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of critical infrastructure incidents.Lead the integration of systems, platforms, and infrastructure components across the enterprise environment.Monitor and optimize system performance, availability, capacity, and reliability.Support high-availability, business continuity, and disaster recovery requirements.Collaborate with network, cybersecurity, database, application, and other technical teams to deliver integrated solutions.Lead infrastructure upgrades, migrations, patching, configuration changes, and technology implementations.Review technical designs and provide expert recommendations for infrastructure improvements.Establish and maintain technical standards, documentation, procedures, and operational best practices.Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and senior engineers.Participate in major incident management and provide expert support for critical production environments.Required Qualifications :8–10+ years of experience in System Engineering, Infrastructure, or IT Operations.Expert-level hands-on experience with Nutanix HCI.Advanced knowledge of Linux and Windows Server administration.Strong experience in enterprise system integration.Good knowledge of database technologies, administration concepts, and system/database integrations.Strong understanding of virtualization, high availability, backup, and disaster recovery technologies.Proven experience supporting mission-critical production environments.Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.Preferred CertificationsNutanix Certified Professional (NCP) or equivalent certification.Microsoft and/or Linux certifications are an advantage.Relevant virtualization, cloud, or infrastructure certifications are preferred.
