Apply & track with Apply EdgeReferment is working with a global quantitative investment business seeking a Systems Administrator for its Singapore office. The systems function supports enterprise technology across Windows and UNIX environments, storage and clustered computing, communications platforms and end-user equipment.This is a hands-on, office-based role combining direct user support with infrastructure administration, troubleshooting and project work. You will collaborate with global colleagues and vendors, helping people use technology effectively while improving the reliability and efficiency of the underlying environment.The RoleProvide in-person support covering PC hardware, peripherals, software deployments, mobile-device management, videoconferencing, AV equipment, trading-floor technology and occasional data-centre work.Work with global teams and vendors to diagnose and resolve technical and non-technical issues.Support Windows PCs and servers, UNIX servers, mobile devices and communications infrastructure.Investigate complex issues, administer infrastructure-level systems and contribute to automation and efficiency improvements.What We're Looking ForKnowledge of Microsoft Windows enterprise environments and Microsoft 365.Practical systems-administration familiarity across hardware, software, desk-side, trading-floor, AV, conferencing, event or remote-user support.Strong research and analytical skills, with curiosity to solve unfamiliar problems and improve processes.Clear interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.Availability to work on site Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime and weekend assignments.Willingness to travel occasionally to Hong Kong and Shanghai.Desirable ExperiencePython, PowerShell or another scripting language, Linux experience and working proficiency in Mandarin would be useful. Mandarin is preferred because the role interacts with regional Mandarin-speaking colleagues and stakeholders.This could suit a systems administrator, desktop or infrastructure support engineer, or end-user-computing specialist who enjoys both direct support and broader systems work.#Referment
