Systems Specialist / FP&A

Edward Mann are recruiting on behalf of a growing and forward-thinking organisation that is looking to appoint a Systems Accountant / FP&A.This is a varied role sitting at the intersection of finance, systems and FP&A, ideal for someone who enjoys working with data and technology while still having a strong understanding of financial processes and commercial performance.The successful candidate will play a key role in improving the use of the organisation's ERP and finance systems, while supporting FP&A activities, reporting and wider finance transformation initiatives.The RoleTake ownership of and support the ongoing development of the organisation's ERP and finance systemsWork closely with Finance and wider business teams to improve processes, controls and system functionalitySupport the implementation, optimisation and enhancement of financial systems and reporting toolsAssist with the development of FP&A reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysisDevelop and maintain financial models, dashboards and management reportingAnalyse financial and operational data to identify trends, variances and opportunities for improvementSupport system upgrades, testing, integrations and process improvementsEnsure the integrity and accuracy of financial data across systemsWork with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective system solutionsProvide training and guidance to finance users where requiredSupport month-end, year-end and wider financial reporting processesIdentify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve efficiency across the finance functionAbout YouWe're looking for someone with a strong blend of accounting knowledge, systems experience and analytical capability.You may currently be working as a Systems Accountant, Finance Systems Analyst, Management Accountant, FP&A Analyst or in a similar position where you have developed a strong understanding of both finance and technology.You'll ideally have:A strong understanding of accounting and financial processesExperience implementing and data-mapping an ERP or finance systemExperience automating, supporting or improving finance systems and processesStrong Excel and data analysis skillsExposure to FP&A, budgeting and forecastingExperience producing financial and management reportingA naturally analytical and process-driven approachStrong communication skills, with the ability to work with both Finance and non-Finance stakeholdersAn interest in automation, systems optimisation and finance transformation
