TAMM Integration Engineer

Birbal AI is looking for an experienced Integration Engineer / API Specialist to design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable integrations for a large-scale government digital transformation project. The ideal candidate will have expertise in REST APIs, enterprise integrations, middleware, and API security, with experience connecting enterprise applications and third-party systems.Key Responsibility:Produce integration design specifications for every in-scope system: UAE PASS (mandatory parent authentication), the client’s Student Information System (student records, enrolment, eligibility, documents), the federal identity authority (identity and nationality), health and disability-support authorities (SOD and medical data), municipal address services (Tawtheeq auto-population), custody-verification services, the payment gateway, Tamara and Tabby (instalments including callback confirmation), and SMS/Email notification services.Implement RESTful integrations through the approved API gateway with OAuth 2.0 / token-based authentication and mutual TLS where applicable; never expose keys client-side.Build robust error-handling, timeout, retry, fallback and reconciliation flows for failed payment, failed identity verification, failed SOD/medical retrieval, failed notification and failed platform transaction scenarios.Implement integration logging and monitoring with correlation/transaction IDs, ensuring no sensitive data appears in logs.Prepare data-mapping specifications (fields, types, transformation and validation rules, classification, ownership).Plan and execute integration test cases with the client, TAMM, SIS and external system owners; support end-to-end, QA-vendor and VAPT testing to closure.Maintain the integration inventory, external-dependency register and the integration handover pack.Qualifications6+ years of integration/API engineering: REST, JSON, OAuth 2.0, API gateways and token handling.Hands-on payment-provider integration experience (redirects, callbacks/webhooks, idempotency,reconciliation).Strong expertise in REST APIs, JSON, XML, and HTTP protocols.Hands-on experience with .NET Core/C# or Java for backend integration services.Experience with OAuth 2.0, JWT, API Gateway, and API Management.Knowledge of Oracle SQL/PL-SQL and relational databases.Experience with Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, and API testing tools.Strong understanding of integration patterns, messaging, and middleware concepts.Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, and Agile methodologies. Direct UAE PASS, TAMM or other UAE federal/local government integrations is preferred
