POSITION TITLE: TAPROOM & EVENTS MANAGER Location: Town Brewing Co. Reports to: Director of Operations Position Type: Full Time ________________________________________  Position Summary:  The Taproom & Events Manager is responsible for the daily operation of the Town Brewing Co. taproom and the coordination and execution of private and public events. This position leads the front of house team, maintains appropriate staffing, manages scheduling and inventory, coordinates event details, and ensures a consistently excellent guest experience. The Taproom & Events Manager works closely with the Director of Operations, Kitchen Manager, Brewery team, and outside vendors to support efficient service and successful events. This position reports directly to the Director of Operations..  Position Responsibilities:  Taproom Operations & Guest Experience • Oversee daily taproom operations, ensuring the space is clean, functional, welcoming, and prepared for service • Maintain high standards for hospitality, product knowledge, opening and closing procedures, and overall guest service • Manage reservations, large parties, guest concerns, and the effective use of taproom and event spaces • Identify facility and equipment needs and coordinate necessary repairs • Manage safety concerns, guest conflicts, emergencies, and incident reporting while ensuring compliance with health department, ABC, safety, and company standards Staff Management & Scheduling • Lead, train, coach, and manage front of house staff while maintaining appropriate staffing levels for regular service, seasonal demand, and events • Create weekly schedules, manage availability and shift coverage, and address attendance and callout issues • Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and train new employees with approval from the Director of Operations • Conduct team meetings, performance reviews, and development check ins while addressing performance concerns and maintaining clear staff communication • Foster a positive, accountable, and team oriented workplace culture Sales, Inventory & Financial Oversight • Drive taproom and event sales through strong hospitality, staff performance, and operational execution • Manage beverage, merchandise, and operating inventory while overseeing POS operations, cash handling, and inventory controls • Monitor labor expenses and adjust staffing based on business needs • Track sales, labor, inventory variance, event revenue, and other performance goals while providing regular reports to the Director of Operations Kitchen & Cross Department Coordination • Coordinate with the Kitchen Manager and Director of Operations on menu development, seasonal offerings, pricing, and operational feasibility • Maintain general awareness of kitchen staffing, service flow, cleanliness, inventory, food quality, ticket times, and presentation as they affect the guest experience • Work with the Kitchen Manager to resolve service challenges while respecting the Kitchen Manager’s direct leadership of kitchen personnel • Coordinate execution between the taproom, kitchen, brewery, and events teams while supporting product launches, seasonal initiatives, and companywide programming ______________________________________  Position Operations and Schedule:  Operational Oversight:  • Serve as the manager on duty and lead taproom opening and closing as needed • Remain visible and available during peak service periods, major events, and high volume days • Resolve operational, staffing, and guest service challenges calmly and efficiently • Take ownership of taproom performance, event execution, and follow through Schedule & Travel:  • Predominant working days are Wednesday through Sunday, with hours based on taproom and event needs • Regular evening and weekend availability is required • Holiday availability may be required based on the operating schedule • Occasional offsite events, festivals, and meetings may be required Physical Requirements:  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods  ________________________________________ Position Requirements:  Education & Experience:  • Degree: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field, or equivalent experience  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of hospitality or taproom management required  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in beer, brewery, or bar operations strongly preferred  Skills, Knowledge, and Attributes:  • Leadership: Strong leadership and team-building skills  • Organization: Proven ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and stay organized  • Customer Service: Commitment to creating outstanding guest experiences  • Communication: Clear, professional communication with staff and guests  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient with POS systems, scheduling software, and basic Excel reporting  • Problem-Solving: Ability to remain calm under pressure and solve issues quickly  • Accountability: Takes ownership of results and follows through on commitments
