Tax AccountantPalomba General Trading LLCDubai, United Arab EmiratesFull-time | On-siteAbout Palomba General Trading LLCPalomba General Trading LLC is an international trading and business-development company headquartered in Dubai and operating across the GCC, Europe and selected international markets.Our activities include international sourcing, distribution and business development across natural ingredients, botanical extracts, flavour systems, essential oils and specialised raw materials serving the food, beverage, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and fragrance industries.We are seeking a Tax Accountant to support tax accounting, financial reporting and compliance activities within our UAE operations.The RoleThe Tax Accountant will work with Finance and management to maintain accurate tax-related accounting records, support periodic reporting obligations and ensure that relevant financial information is properly documented and reconciled.The role combines accounting knowledge, analytical accuracy and structured financial administration.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate tax-related accounting records.Support preparation of periodic tax calculations and reconciliations.Review accounting transactions for appropriate tax treatment.Assist with VAT-related accounting and reconciliations.Support corporate tax accounting activities.Reconcile relevant general-ledger accounts.Review supplier and customer documentation where required for tax purposes.Maintain organised supporting documentation.Assist with preparation of information requested by external accountants, auditors or advisers.Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities.Analyse tax-related accounting discrepancies.Maintain accurate records within ERP and accounting systems.Support preparation of management and compliance reports.Coordinate relevant information with Accounts Payable and other Finance functions.Monitor documentation deadlines and outstanding information.Support internal financial controls relating to tax accounting.Assist with improvements to accounting and documentation procedures.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.2–5 years of relevant experience in tax accounting, financial accounting, VAT accounting or general accounting.Strong understanding of accounting principles.Good numerical and reconciliation skills.Strong Microsoft Excel skills.Experience with ERP or accounting systems.Excellent attention to detail.Excellent written and spoken English.Strong organisational abilities.Ability to work accurately with financial documentation and deadlines.Preferred ExperienceExperience within one or more of the following will be considered advantageous:International tradingImport and exportB2B distributionFMCGFood and beveragePharmaceuticalsSpecialty chemicalsMultinational or multi-currency businessesPrevious exposure to UAE accounting, VAT or corporate tax processes is advantageous.Professional accounting qualifications or progress toward ACCA, CPA, CMA or equivalent will be considered an advantage but are not mandatory.Arabic is useful but not mandatory.Compensation & BenefitsAED 15,000 – 20,000 per month, depending on relevant experience and qualifications.The package may also include:Annual performance bonusPrivate medical insurancePaid annual leaveAnnual flight allowanceProfessional development opportunitiesEmployment and visa support where legally applicableWhat We OfferInternational and multicultural working environment.Exposure to international trading transactions.Direct collaboration with Finance and management.Experience across multiple currencies, suppliers and markets.Professional development opportunities.Career progression toward Senior Tax Accountant, Finance Manager or Tax Manager.ApplicationCandidates should submit an updated CV in English outlining relevant experience in:tax accounting;financial accounting;VAT accounting;reconciliations;ERP or accounting systems.Applicants should also indicate:Current locationNotice periodEarliest availabilityExpected salaryOnly candidates whose professional experience is reasonably aligned with the position will be contacted.Palomba General Trading LLC evaluates candidates according to professional experience, skills and qualifications.
