Apply & track with Apply EdgeTax & Legal Manager - (Maritime/Offshore Company) - Dubai, United Arab EmiratesWe are working with a leading international marine and offshore energy business to appoint a West Africa Tax & Legal Manager to its Dubai-based team.This is a regional role focused on supporting operations across West Africa, with responsibility for tax compliance, legal matters, regulatory requirements and wider fiscal risk management.The successful candidate will have a strong background in international taxation, ideally gained within the energy, maritime, offshore or another highly regulated international sector.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee tax and legal compliance across West African operations.Monitor changes to tax legislation, finance laws and sector-specific regulations.Ensure compliance with relevant licences, authorisations and regulatory requirements.Lead the review of tax positions as part of annual tax return preparation.Advise on withholding tax, VAT, personal income tax, tax deductibility and double taxation treaties.Oversee the preparation of local transfer pricing documentation in line with group policies.Support and advise during tax and customs audits, working alongside external advisers.Identify, assess and help mitigate tax, legal and regulatory risks.Work closely with internal teams, external advisers and local authorities across multiple jurisdictions.Provide support and advice on wider business law matters where required.Travel regularly across West Africa.About YouWe are looking for a commercially minded Tax & Legal professional with strong international exposure and experience working across multiple jurisdictions.Essential:Degree in Tax Law, Business Law or a related discipline.5–7+ years' professional experience.Strong experience in international taxation and business law.Experience gained within a Big 4 firm and/or an international energy, maritime, offshore or related business.Strong understanding of tax compliance and regulatory requirements.Fluent French is essential.Comfortable working with senior stakeholders, external advisers and local authorities.Willingness and ability to travel across West Africa.Experience working directly across West African jurisdictions would be highly advantageous.Why This Role?This is an opportunity to take ownership of a regional tax and legal remit within an established international business, working across multiple jurisdictions and supporting a diverse range of operational and commercial stakeholders.If you have strong international tax experience, speak fluent French and are looking for a regional opportunity based in Dubai, we'd be interested in hearing from you.
