Tax and Compliance Executive

A leading PLC Company is seeking a dynamic, results-oriented, and highly experienced professional to join our team as Tax & Compliance Executive.The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing all matters related to taxation, statutory compliance, regulatory requirements, and internal compliance functions of the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesOverlook and manage all tax and compliance-related matters of the Company.Maintain close coordination and professional relationships with the Inland Revenue Department (IRD) and other regulatory authorities.Ensure timely and accurate submission of all statutory payments and tax filings.Handle VAT, Corporate Tax, PAYE/APIT, Withholding Tax, SSCL, and other applicable tax matters.Coordinate and manage tax audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory inspections.Monitor changes in tax laws and ensure company-wide compliance with all statutory regulations.Lead, supervise, and guide the tax and compliance team to ensure operational efficiency.Liaise with auditors, consultants, and external stakeholders on tax and compliance matters.Provide strategic advice to management on tax planning and compliance risk management.RequirementsProfessional qualification in Accounting/Finance/Taxation (CA Sri Lanka, ACCA, CIMA, CMA or equivalent).Minimum 5–7 years of experience in Taxation and Compliance, preferably within a reputed organization or PLC environment.Strong knowledge of Sri Lankan tax regulations and statutory compliance requirements.Experience in dealing with IRD officials, tax auditors, and government authorities.Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple compliance deadlines effectively.
