Apply & track with Apply EdgeJob objective:To support Hahnemann Scientific Laboratory (India) Pvt. Ltd. (HSL) in taxation, statutory compliance, reconciliations, accounting documentation, tax reporting, and audit support while ensuring accuracy, timely compliance, and proper maintenance of financial records.Role and ResponsibilitiesAssist in preparation and verification of GST-related data, workings, and supporting documents for GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, annual returns, and other applicable GST compliances.Support GST reconciliations including GSTR-2B with purchase records, Input Tax Credit verification, vendor mismatches, and follow-up for required corrections.Assist in TDS computation, deduction verification, challan preparation, quarterly return workings, TDS certificates, and reconciliation of TDS records.Support Income Tax activities including tax computations, advance tax workings, Form 26AS/AIS reconciliation, return documentation, and maintenance of supporting records.Assist in maintaining accurate books of accounts, journal entries, ledgers, invoices, vouchers, debit/credit notes, and taxation-related accounting records.Perform bank, vendor, customer, ledger, GST, and tax-related reconciliations and identify discrepancies for review by the reporting manager.Maintain taxation compliance calendars, trackers, working papers, challans, acknowledgements, certificates, notices, and other statutory records in an organised manner.Support internal, statutory, tax, and other audits by compiling data, preparing schedules, retrieving supporting documents, and coordinating information requirements.Assist in preparing tax MIS, compliance reports, reconciliation summaries, outstanding trackers, and other financial reports required by management.Coordinate with accounts, finance, procurement, sales, vendors, consultants, auditors, and other departments for taxation data and documentation while maintaining confidentiality of financial information.Qualifications and Education RequirementsPursuing or completed Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.Candidates pursuing CA, CMA, CS, or other relevant professional qualifications will be preferred.Freshers and final-year students with a strong interest in taxation, accounting, and statutory compliance may apply.Basic understanding of Direct and Indirect Taxation, including Income Tax, GST, and TDS.Basic knowledge of accounting principles, journal entries, ledgers, financial statements, and reconciliations.Familiarity with GST returns, TDS compliance, Income Tax documentation, and tax-related working papers will be an advantage.Working knowledge of MS Excel / Google Sheets and basic financial data analysis.Familiarity with Tally Prime, Zoho Books, ERP/accounting software, or similar tools will be preferred.Previous internship, academic project, articleship exposure, or practical experience in taxation/accounting will be an advantage but is not mandatory.Preferred SkillsStrong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Good understanding of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and basic statutory compliance processes.Strong attention to detail and accuracy while handling financial and taxation data.Good working knowledge of MS Excel, including basic formulas, data handling, and reconciliations.Ability to prepare and maintain organised tax records, supporting documents, workings, and compliance trackers.Good research skills with the ability to understand and interpret basic tax rules, notifications, and compliance requirements.Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to meet statutory and internal deadlines.Ability to coordinate effectively with accounts, finance, vendors, consultants, and other internal departments.High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professional conduct while handling financial and tax-related information.Proactive, disciplined, detail-oriented, and willing to learn changes in taxation laws, compliance processes, and accounting systems.
