Teacher Assistant - Learning Support

Job Title: Learning Support Assistant / Special Educator Job Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teacher Assistant - Learning Support to join a family in Dubai.

The ideal candidate will provide invaluable support to a child with Autism at Grade 8 , ensuring they receive personalized assistance within the classroom environment in addition of running programs at home under the supervision of BCBA / IBA. This role requires someone with a deep passion for working with special needs children, excellent interpersonal skills.- Location: Dubai, UAE – Sustainable City (Mainstream British School)- Setting: School, home and community.- Working Hours: Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM Key Responsibilities:- Provide one-on-one support and assistance to a child with Autism, ensuring their educational and emotional needs are met.- Runing one-on-one program in school and home as per the BCBA plan.- Collaborate closely with the classroom teacher and other support staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral support strategies.- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where the child can thrive academically and socially.- Assist in preparing and adapting learning materials and resources as needed to accommodate the child's learning style and abilities.- Monitor and record the child's progress, behaviors, and achievements, reporting findings to the teacher and relevant professionals as required.- Encourage and promote independence, confidence, and positive social interactions among the child and their peers.- Maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians, providing regular updates on the child's progress and any concerns.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or Special Education, Psychology, or a related field is preferred.- Proven experience working with children with Autism or other special needs in an educational setting.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with children, teachers, parents, and other professionals.- Patient, empathetic, and compassionate attitude towards working with children with special needs.- Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and needs in the classroom environment.- Fluency in English is required.- Adequate knowledge of the National British Curriculum.
