Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Teaching Artist based in Chicago, IL. The Teaching Artist will design and deliver arts-focused workshops and programs that foster creativity, engagement, and learning for diverse audiences. The role involves developing curriculum, collaborating with other artists and educators, and organizing innovative, culturally relevant artistic experiences. The Teaching Artist will also mentor participants, assess progress, and nurture a deep appreciation for arts and culture. Qualifications Experience in Teaching, Curriculum Design, and Workshop FacilitationProficiency in Visual Arts, Performing Arts, or Digital MediaStrong Communication, Interpersonal, and Collaborative SkillsUnderstanding of Arts Education and its cultural impactSkills in Community Engagement and Advocacy for the ArtsAbility to work with diverse participants, including youth and adultsBachelor’s degree in Arts, Education, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will also be consideredExperience in program evaluation and reporting is a plusA passion for cultural development and innovation in arts education
