Teaching Artists join a gifted, dedicated team that values collaboration, profession experience, and a passion for arts education.Role Description The Teaching Artist is a part-time, on-site role based in Lincoln, CA. This position involves planning and leading arts-based classes and workshops, using engaging, age-appropriate teaching methods aligned with studio guidelines. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson materials, instructing students individually and in groups, demonstrating techniques, and providing constructive feedback to support skill development and creativity. The Teaching Artist will also help maintain a safe and organized classroom environment, communicate with studio staff and caregivers about student progress, and may assist with showcases, events, or performances.Qualifications Demonstrated skill and experience in one or more artistic disciplines (e.g., music, drama, dance, tutoring or related fields).Experience teaching or facilitating arts programs for children, teens, or adults in group settings.Strong communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse learners.Ability to design structured yet flexible lesson plans and adapt instruction to varying skill levels.Commitment to creating an inclusive, respectful, and safe learning environment for all participants.Reliable attendance, punctuality, and professionalism, including adherence to studio policies and procedures.Ability to work on-site in Lincoln, CA during scheduled class times, including possible afternoon, evening, or weekend hours.Background in education, arts education, or related training is preferred; prior experience in community arts or studio settings is a plus.
