The Teaching Assistant supports classroom teachers in delivering lessons, preparing learning materials, and organizing resources to ensure a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment. Responsibilities include assisting with small group and one-to-one instruction, reinforcing key concepts, and supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional development. The role involves supervising students during class activities, transitions, and school events, and helping maintain positive classroom behavior and routines. The Teaching Assistant also collaborates with teachers and school staff, participates in meetings and professional development, and contributes to the wider school community as needed.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Assistant Teaching and Education skills, with experience supporting classroom instruction and learning activities.Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, including clear spoken and written communication and the ability to collaborate with teachers, students, and families.Candidates should possess foundational Mathematics skills to assist with math-related lessons and student support.Candidates should possess experience Working With Children, demonstrating patience, empathy, and an understanding of child development and classroom management.Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Education or a related field, or a recognized teaching assistant certification, are highly beneficial.Prior experience in an international or multicultural school setting, and familiarity with diverse curricula, is an advantage.Ability to follow school policies, maintain confidentiality, and uphold safeguarding and child protection standards is essential.
