Location: StockportContract: Full-time, PermanentHours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–4:30pmStart Date: ASAPAbout the RoleWe are looking for Psychology graduates and experienced SEMH Teaching Assistants to join a specialist SEMH school in Stockport.You will support children and young people with a range of SEMH needs, including anxiety, ADHD, emotional regulation difficulties and challenging behaviour.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide 1:1 and small-group support.Build positive relationships with pupils.Support behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement.Assist with classroom activities and personalised learning.Follow individual behaviour and support plans.Encourage pupils' confidence, independence and social development.Work closely with teachers and the wider school team.The Ideal CandidatePsychology graduates are encouraged to apply.Previous experience working with SEMH, SEND or challenging behaviour is desirable.Patient, resilient and consistent approach.Strong communication and relationship-building skills.Passionate about supporting young people.Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.This is a fantastic opportunity for Psychology graduates to gain valuable experience within specialist SEMH education and develop a career supporting young people.
