Teaching Assistant (Early Years Level)

Position ObjectiveThe Teaching Assistant will work with the teacher to provide high-quality education to students at Kings Yangon School, assisting with a variety of classroom activities to ensure that students are safe, engaged, and learning to their full potential.ResponsibilitiesAssist the teacher with preparing and delivering lessons, including setting up equipment and gathering materials. Provide individual and small-group support to students who require additional help or who need to catch up on missed work. Monitor student behavior and activity during class and non-classroom times, such as lunch and field trips, to ensure a safe and orderly learning environment. Collaborate with the teacher to identify and address student needs and concerns, and to develop effective solutions that support academic success. Document student progress and communicate this information to the teacher and parents as needed. Help create lesson plans that align with the curriculum and student needs. Adhere to state, school, and classroom rules and regulations at all times. Participate in training, parent conferences, and faculty meetings as required to ensure effective communication and coordination with other school staff. Assist with other duties and activities as needed to support the overall success of students and the school.Qualifications & requirementHigh school diploma or equivalent, ECCD certified candidates are more perferredSome college coursework in education or a related field is preferredExperience working with childrenStrong communication and interpersonal skillsUsing initiativeWillingness to learn and follow directions and work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members.
