It is where students, faculty, and staff collectively take the first step toward realizing VinUniversity’s mission of contributing to the betterment of Vietnam and the world.About the PositionThe Multimedia Communication Program at the College of Arts and Sciences is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Teaching Assistant (TA) to support the delivery of Media Production and Advanced Media Production courses.The TA will work closely with faculty and students to support teaching and learning, course administration, practical media production, and Media Lab activities and events.Given the production-focused nature of these courses, the position may also require technical and production support outside scheduled class hours when necessary.Key Responsibilities1. Support Teaching and Student LearningSupport faculty in preparing and delivering lectures, workshops, practical sessions, and group activities.Attend scheduled classes and provide academic and practical support to students.Assist students in understanding course concepts, assignments, and production requirements.Support students with filming, editing, sound, lighting, and other media production activities.Provide practical guidance to individual and group projects throughout the production process.Identify students who may require additional academic or technical support.2. Support Course AdministrationMaintain student attendance and other course records.Support the management of course materials, assignments, assessments, and student submissions.Assist faculty with Canvas, including course materials, announcements, assignments, and other course information.Support gradebook administration and grade records under the direction of the course instructor.Assist with routine student communication and other course-related administrative tasks.3. Technical and Production SupportPrepare, organize, and check cameras, lighting, audio equipment, editing equipment, and other production resources.Provide basic technical support and troubleshoot common equipment, software, and production issues.Support students in the safe and responsible use of production equipment and facilities.Assist faculty with technical preparation and production activities outside scheduled class hours when required.Support filming, editing, equipment setup, and other media production activities related to course delivery.Maintain and organize production resources and develop simple technical guides or procedures for student use.4. Equipment and Resource ManagementMaintain basic inventory and usage records for media production equipment and resources.Coordinate student access to production equipment and facilities.Conduct routine checks of equipment and report technical or safety issues to the relevant teams.Support faculty in identifying equipment and resource needs for teaching and student projects.Ensure that equipment is properly handled, stored, and maintained.5. Support Media Lab Activities and EventsAssist with event setup, including cameras, lighting, audio equipment, presentation systems, and other technical requirements.Provide on-site technical and production support during Media Lab events.Assist with photography, videography, filming, editing, and other media production activities for Media Lab events when required.Coordinate with faculty, students, staff, and external partners to support the smooth delivery of Media Lab activities and events.Support other Media Lab projects and activities as assigned by the supervisor.Qualifications and RequirementsBachelor’s degree or higher in Multimedia Communication, Media Production, Film, Digital Media, Communication, or a related field.English proficiency equivalent to IELTS 6.0 or above.Practical experience in video, multimedia, film, photography, or content production is an advantage.Good knowledge of cameras, lighting, audio recording, video editing, and production workflows.Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar software.Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students.Good organizational and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and follow the direction of the course instructor.Responsible and careful in handling production equipment and facilities.Experience with Canvas or other Learning Management Systems (LMS) is an advantage.How to ApplyInterested candidates are invited to apply through the following link:Apply for Teaching Assistant – Multimedia CommunicationPlease also send your CV directly to:Ms. Hang – HRBP, College of Arts and Sciences📧 Hang.ltt@vinuni.edu.vnWe look forward to welcoming a talented and passionate Teaching Assistant to the College of Arts and Sciences community at VinUniversity
