Production Team LeaderLocation: Sheffield, South YorkshireType: Permanent, Full-timeWe’re working with an established manufacturing business in Sheffield to recruit a Production Team Leader to join its shop-floor operation.This is a hands-on leadership position, ideally suited to an experienced manufacturing professional who is already supervising a small team, or a strong Senior Operator looking to take the next step into leadership.The RoleYou’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day supervision of a small production team while remaining actively involved in the manufacturing operation.Key responsibilities will include:Leading and organising a small shop-floor production teamWorking hands-on alongside the teamCoordinating daily workload and maintaining production standardsManaging day-to-day matters including timekeeping and breaksSupporting automated manufacturing and spraying processesCompleting routine equipment checks and basic servicing/maintenanceSupporting health & safety and wider operational responsibilitiesDeveloping a strong understanding of the machinery and manufacturing processesActing as an experienced and reliable point of contact for the teamWhat We’re Looking ForWe’re looking for someone with a strong background in manufacturing or production who has either already moved into team leadership or is ready to take that next step.You may currently be working as a Production Team Leader, Manufacturing Team Leader, Production Supervisor, Shift Leader, Cell Leader, Senior Production Operative, Senior Machine Operator or Lead Operator.Ideally, you’ll bring:Several years of hands-on manufacturing or production experienceExperience leading, supervising or supporting shop-floor colleaguesA practical approach and confidence working around production machineryGood organisational and communication skillsThe confidence to lead an experienced, established teamA willingness to remain hands-on rather than move into a purely managerial roleExperience with automated production lines, spraying, adhesives, bonding, laminating, panels, composites or similar manufacturing processes would be advantageous, but isn’t essential.You don’t need to be a qualified engineer or have experience with the exact equipment used.
