Axium Global is established as one of the leading pre-construction planning services companies in the UK and India, serving the building services (MEP), retail, homebuilder, architectural and construction sectors with high-quality MEP engineering design and BIM solutions.Job SummaryThe Team Lead – HVAC Fabrication Detailing will lead the technical delivery of HVAC ductwork fabrication detailing and BIM coordination for assigned projects. The role ensures that coordinated models, shop drawings, spool drawings and installation documentation are accurate, fabrication-ready, constructible and compliant with Australian Standards, project specifications and client requirements. It combines hands-on technical expertise with team leadership, work allocation, QA/QC, client coordination and on-time project delivery.Job DescriptionThis position is based at Axium Global – Dubai Office within the MEP Team. The Team Lead is accountable for the quality and timely delivery of HVAC fabrication detailing packages, provides technical guidance to the detailing team, coordinates with project stakeholders and supports resolution of complex fabrication and coordination issues. The role includes direct interaction with international project teams, including Australian project stakeholders where assigned.Key Roles and Responsibilities• Lead day-to-day HVAC fabrication detailing delivery, allocate work and balance priorities across assigned projects.• Review coordinated HVAC fabrication models, shop drawings, spool drawings, installation drawings and supporting documentation before issue.• Own QA/QC of assigned deliverables and ensure LOD 300–400 models are accurate, constructible, fabrication-ready and compliant with project requirements.• Provide technical direction on ductwork layouts, fittings, transitions, supports, penetrations, builder’s work requirements and ceiling coordination.• Lead clash detection and coordination reviews using Navisworks and manage issue closure through Revizto and agreed project workflows.• Coordinate with architects, structural teams, other MEP disciplines, contractors and client representatives to resolve technical and constructability issues.• Review RFIs, site information, design changes and construction updates and guide the team on required model and drawing revisions.• Monitor progress against delivery schedules, support resource forecasting and proactively escalate technical, capacity or programme risks.• Mentor team members on fabrication detailing, BIM coordination, software, standards and quality expectations, and provide structured technical feedback.• Participate in client/project meetings and clearly communicate technical status, issues, actions and delivery commitments.• Implement project-specific standards, specifications, BIM requirements and fabrication procedures across the team.• Drive continuous improvement in modelling methods, checking processes, coordination practices and team productivity while remaining hands-on for complex issues.Key Skills Required• Advanced knowledge of HVAC duct fabrication detailing, constructability and installation requirements.• Strong command of Autodesk fabrication software and BIM workflows, including coordinated LOD 300–400 modelling.• Advanced capability in Navisworks clash detection and strong working knowledge of Revizto issue-management workflows.• Proven ability to lead, allocate, review and technically guide the work of HVAC fabrication detailers.• Strong QA/QC capability with the ability to identify technical errors, coordination gaps and constructability risks before issue.• Ability to manage multiple project priorities, delivery schedules, resource constraints and technical dependencies.• Strong client communication, stakeholder coordination, problem-solving and escalation skills.• Ability to mentor team members and build technical capability, quality awareness and accountability within the team.Qualification and Experience Required• BE/BTech in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in a related field.• 8+ years of relevant experience in MEP/HVAC fabrication detailing, BIM coordination and project delivery.• Demonstrated experience leading or technically guiding HVAC fabrication/detailing teams.• Strong knowledge of Australian project standards and fabrication requirements; Australian project experience is preferred.• High level of proficiency in BIM methodologies and fabrication-focused coordination workflows.CompensationThe selected candidate will receive competitive compensation and remuneration in line with qualifications and experience.
