This position ensures that the team is aware of shipping timelines, provides status updates throughout the day and troubleshoots bottlenecks.Position TasksSet and follow Leader Standard Work dailyComplete Start-Up ChecksAssess manpower and break coverage continually with Value Stream Supervisor to ensure all timelines are maintainedSupport the shipper/receiver on dock management and communication between plants and carriers on deliver times. Work through delivery delays and adjust schedules to support expedited items. Conduct daily huddles with team to inform on progress and demandsRegularly update cell board and dash boards and review operator efficienciesUtilize KPI metrics to compare actuals and to foster continuous improvementSupport operators with material needs, upcoming jobs and continuous coachingShips, receives, and records the movement of goods, materials, and inventory for a companyAdminister and support cross training initiativesAdhere to Cam Tran safety policies and proceduresPerform other duties as assignedSkillsAbility to communicate effectively with othersWell organized and able to make independent judgmentsAble to work in a team environmentRequirementsQualifications:Experience leading a team in a manufacturing environment.Experience working with multiple carrier companies.Operate a forklift, winch, or other machinery used for transporting or shipping materials.Knowledge of the product and plant operations.Demonstrated experience and knowledge in lean manufacturing systems, Production Control and Quality System.Working Conditions10-hour shifts with potential for overtime. Tasks are repetitive. Work is conducted in an indoor manufacturing environment around various pieces of equipment.Environment can be hot during summer months.Heaving lifting is required occasionally. For materials in excess of 50lbs employees use overhead crane or may require the assistance of two or more people. Operation of machinery in the production process, operation of forklift. Fast paced, high pressure, efficiency driven environment.
