This role is responsible for guiding teams in designing and delivering secure, scalable, and maintainable software solutions, while fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and shared ownership.ResponsibilitiesLead the design and delivery of complex systems using modern architectures, design patterns, and engineering best practices (e.g., microservices, event-driven design)Drive adoption of contemporary development methodologies to ensure efficient and high-quality delivery.Balance hands-on technical contributions with strategic oversight, ensuring long-term maintainability, scalability, and reduced technical debt.Ensure reliability and resilience of production systems through proactive monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement practices.Promote a culture of accountability and transparency by communicating clearly with stakeholders and leading post-incident learning and system improvements.Lead and manage engineering teams effectively, fostering collaboration, inclusivity, and a strong team-first mindset.Allocate work strategically while empowering team members, avoiding silos and encouraging shared ownership of outcomes.Partner with product and stakeholders to prioritize work based on business value, while navigating ambiguity and evolving requirements with confidence.Drive onboarding of new team members, tools, and processes, ensuring smooth integration and continuous team growth.Key Skills Required Bachelor’s degree or Master's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.8+ years of professional hands-on experience in software development, 2+ years leading multiple teams. Expertise in data structures, algorithms, and security principles; ability to optimize for performance and security at scale.Proficiency across multiple programming languages (Python, or Golang, JavaScript/TypeScript) with strong emphasis on reliability, maintainability, performance, and security.Proven experience with SQL (PostgreSQL, PostGIS, MySQL, SQLite) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Neo4J) databases, including modeling, indexing, and optimization.Professional experience in designing distributed systems for high availability, scalability, and fault tolerance (CAP theorem).Expertise with distributed messaging, event-driven patterns, and asynchronousWhy Choose EDGE?
