Apply & track with Apply EdgeAbout the roleWe are looking for an experienced Central Bookings Team Leader to lead the day-to-day operations of our Central Bookings team and support its continued growth. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring the team is appropriately resourced, supported and performing effectively, while continuously improving the way we deliver our booking service.You will lead a small team (approx. 6 FTE) currently, with responsibility for day-to-day oversight, workforce planning, coaching and people management. As the business grows, you will also play a key role in expanding the team, planning future workforce requirements and supporting the recruitment and onboarding of new team members. You will also be responsible for developing processes, creating and maintaining SOPs, and introducing new technology and ways of working to improve efficiency and the patient experience.Key responsibilitiesProvide day-to-day leadership and oversight of the Central Bookings teamManage rostering, workforce planning and leave coverage to ensure appropriate resourcingPlan for future workforce requirements and grow the team as the business expandsSupport recruitment, onboarding and integration of new team membersCoach, support and develop team members to build capability and consistencyManage performance, attendance and other people matters within the teamDevelop, implement and maintain clear SOPs and booking processesIdentify opportunities to improve workflows, efficiency and the patient experienceLead the introduction and adoption of new technologies and systems into booking workflowsWork closely with operational and clinical stakeholders to resolve issues and improve processesEnsure booking practices are consistent, well documented and aligned with RVC requirementsSupport a positive, accountable and collaborative team cultureAbout youYou will be a confident and practical people leader who enjoys being close to the day-to-day operation of a team.
